You read aloud yourself. Fablemancer adds pictures, music, ambient sounds and sound effects that follow your marker in the text. The app does not need to listen to your voice and does not use a microphone.

Do I have to follow every word with my finger?

No. With Magic Trace, you can keep your thumb near the right edge of the text area and move the marker across the whole line with a short slide. Release at the edge to move to the next line.

What ages is Fablemancer for?

Fablemancer is for families with children up to around 12. Choose a book based on your child’s age and interests – you’ll find age suggestions in the library. You can keep reading together even after your child starts reading independently.
